The Brazil National Team could look to make a coaching change after their underwhelming performance at Copa America 2024 that led to an exit in the quarter-finals.

There's no getting around the fact that Brazil definitely underachieved at this year's Copa America. The team only looked somewhat solid in their 4-1 triumph over Paraguay in the group stage, but outside of that match, Dorival Junior's side didn't live up to the hype -- in which he took full responsibility for.

A team like Brazil that has some of the best players in the world in their squad simply can't afford to crash out before reaching a final or semi-final at competitions like Copa America and the World Cup. While Dorival was just recently appointed as the boss of Brazil back in January, he could find himself on the hot seat after his side's shortcomings in the United States.

Here are three coaches that could replace Dorival Junior if the Selecao chooses to part ways with their current boss.

If Brazil wants to look into the past at former managers of the National Team, then bringing Dunga back to the touchline could be an option. The 60-year-old was fired as head coach after the team's poor showing at Copa America 2016 -- which also took place in the United States. Still, Dunga led a Brazil team that amassed 42 wins, 11 draws and just six defeats in 59 matches in charge. Dunga isn't a stranger to silverware, either, as he brought home a Confederations Cup and a Copa America during his tenure but failed to bring home the most prized of them all: the World Cup.

2. Filipe Luis

This one is a bit of a wild card, but Filipe Luis was reportedly being considered by Brazil back in January before the team opted for Dorival Junior, according to Globo's Raphael Zarko and Martin Fernandez. The former Atletico Madrid and Chelsea full-back is in currently in charge of the Flamengo U-20 team after retiring from playing with the first team in December 2023. The 38-year-old would no doubt have the players' respect given he earned 44 caps at the international level and was in their shoes not too long ago. A report from World Soccer Talk also explains that Luis already his A coaching license which is required to manage senior teams.

3. Tite

The first two candidates in this list are both kind of free agents, as Luis would probably drop everything he's doing to manage the Selecao while Dunga hasn't taken up a job since 2016. However, even though Tite is currently on the touchline for Brazilian Serie A giants Flamengo, maybe he could be enticed to take charge of the National Team once again after having a couple of years off. It seems highly unlikely, but Tite is still a capable manager that could look to return to international management as we know how unpredictable the Serie A can be.
