Charlton have sold several promising young talents to Premier League clubs for seven-figure fees in the last 15 years.

Ademola Lookman, Joe Gomez, Jonjo Shelvey, Mason Burstow, Karlan Grant, Nick Pope and Carl Jenkinson have all moved to the top flight from Charlton since 2010, while Ezri Konsa joined Brentford during their time in the Championship on his path to becoming an England international. Scott Parker's £10m pound move to Chelsea in 2004 makes him the most expensive player to have been sold after coming through the Addicks' academy.

There are a number of players in Charlton's current squad who could attract transfer interest in the next few years if they do well under Nathan Jones, such as Conor Coventry, Josh Edwards, Kayne Ramsay, Alex Mitchell and Thierry Small.

However, let's take a look at four academy graduates under the age of 21 who the Addicks' could command significant transfer fees for in the future.

Miles Leaburn

Miles Leaburn, when fit, is one of the most exciting strikers in League One. His physical attributes and finishing ability make him a real prospect, which has already alerted Premier League clubs, including Chelsea and Aston Villa, during his short career so far.

The 20-year-old scored 12 goals during the 2022/23 League One campaign, his debut season in the first team at The Valley, before a hamstring injury ended his 2023/24 season early in December last year.

Leaburn's contract is due to expire next summer, but considering his family ties to the club, Charlton supporters will hope to see him sign a new deal at some point this season.

If the striker spends another season or two in SE7 and is match fit throughout, he could be sold for a significant sum in the future. If he doesn't agree to a contract extension, the Addicks may need to cash in during the January transfer window.

Tyreece Campbell

Tyreece Campbell signed a new contract at The Valley at the end of last season, and has been deployed as a striker by Nathan Jones in the early stages of the 2024/25 campaign, despite the Welshman's predecessors tending to play him out wide.

The 20-year-old has lightning pace and is capable of beating defenders with ease, so if he can increase his output in terms of goals and assists this season, Charlton will have a serious player on their hands.

Campbell has seemingly improved his game significantly during pre-season, earning himself the number seven shirt, and if he can continue to develop under Jones, there is every chance that clubs from higher divisions will come in with offers in the next few years.

Karoy Anderson

Teenage midfielder Karoy Anderson has featured in the starting line-up regularly since Jones was appointed manager of Charlton, with his tireless nature and well-rounded game making him a good fit for the 51-year-old's system.

The 19-year-old already has eight caps for Jamaica, and has plenty of potential to fulfil as he gains more first-team experience for both club and country.

Anderson is another player who could attract offers in the future if he continues to develop his game under Jones, potentially making Charlton a good amount of money.

Daniel Kanu

Another Charlton player who represents his country at a young age is Daniel Kanu, with the striker playing for Sierra Leone as well as the Addicks.

The 19-year-old was always a natural goalscorer during his time in the academy, and his finishing prowess has now been seen at times in the first team as well.

Kanu is also a hard-working forward who links up well with his teammates, and is another player who Charlton could make some money on in the future if he reaches his potential and is sold.

Jones will likely want to keep most of his squad together as he attempts to take Charlton up to the Championship, but if any of the Addicks' exciting young talents do depart, the club could be able to command significant transfer fees.
