5️⃣ spicy fixtures you must watch this weekend 🌶

Sheffield United vs Sheffield Wednesday

The Steel City derby returns to English football’s calendar this season following Sheffield United’s relegation from the Premier League. Chris Wilder’s side have bounced back well from that disappointment to sit second in the Championship, with automatic promotion the aim for the Blades.

Sheffield Wednesday will want to throw a spanner in the works of their fierce rivals, though it’s been a mixed season with some big wins and heavy defeats. Which version of Danny Rohl’s side turns up remains to be seen but an impressive win over Norwich last time out has boosted confidence. The Owls will be hoping to be hooting at full-time.

Juventus vs Torino

The local grudge matches continue with The Derby della Mole.

Juventus are one of just three teams unbeaten across Europe’s top five leagues but Thiago Motta’s draw specialists have slipped to sixth amid six stalemates.

Torino, however, are in torrid form after five defeats in six games. Having started the season five unbeaten, it’s been a dramatic drop-off for Il Toro.

Benfica vs Porto

It’s always a spectacle when Portugal’s most decorated clubs meet in O Clássico.

This weekend’s showdown is a huge game for both teams as Benfica and Porto look to keep in touch with Sporting Lisbon at the top. Sporting have a perfect record after 10 games but Ruben Amorim’s imminent exit will offer encouragement to the chasing pair.

Benfica will be out for revenge after a 5-0 hammering at Porto in March, the latter’s joint-biggest win in this fixture.

Liverpool vs Aston Villa

Liverpool continue to go from strength to strength under Arne Slot with a 4-0 thrashing of Bayer Leverkusen his best result to date.

Leading the Premier League and Champions League, it’s been a dream start for the Dutchman who will hope his side can maintain their grip on top spot. Aston Villa are the visitors this weekend, a team who have unsettled the established order of late. However, Unai Emery’s side are on a run of three straight defeats in all competitions.

Chelsea vs Arsenal

Chelsea and Arsenal have arm wrestled for capital supremacy for two decades and appear evenly matched ahead of this weekend’s London Derby.

Arsenal head into the clash after back-to-back defeats to Newcastle and Inter Milan and the Gunners can not afford to drop further behind in the title race.

Chelsea, meanwhile, are level with Arsenal on points in the Premier League, above their cross-town neighbours on goal difference. Their Stamford Bridge showdown will be a good measure of both side’s credentials this season.
