La Liga giants Real Madrid are set to be without the services of seven members of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad for the club’s upcoming meeting with Liverpool.
As much was confirmed by way of the club’s official squad release this afternoon.
Real are of course primed to turn attentions back towards matters on the continent on Wednesday, in a Champions League showdown with the aforementioned Liverpool.
Los Blancos’ efforts to make it a trio of victories on the bounce across all competitions at Anfield, though, will come sans the contributions of a whole host of players.
The headline absentee from Ancelotti’s latest selection comes in the form of Vinícius Jr, who was condemned to an incoming spell on the sidelines earlier today, owing to a muscular injury.
And also failing to recover in time are either of Rodrygo, or Aurélien Tchouaméni.
Add to this the long-term absences of all of David Alaba, Dani Carvajal, Éder Militão and Joan Martínez, and Real’s squad bound for Merseyside has been left looking somewhat threadbare…
