Furthermore, O’Rourke adds that Kimmich is now in the final six months of his contract with Bayern. It is also reported by O’Rourke that Kimmich is taking his time deciding what he wants to do with his future. This situation could play into Manchester City’s hands if they do decide to move for the German international.

It’s an issue that the City hierarchy cannot gloss over. You do get the sense that if they don’t sign a midfielder, it could put City’s hopes of securing a top-four finish in jeopardy.
