Francesco Acerbi asked for Erling Haaland’s shirt after Inter’s 0-0 draw against Manchester City but joked on social media that the Norway striker didn’t give it to him.

Acerbi nullified Haaland in Inter’s 0-0 draw against Manchester City on Wednesday on their 2024-25 Champions League debut.

The Italian defender had already given a hard time to the Norway international in the 2023 Champions League Final, but Manchester City still won 1-0 in Istanbul thanks to a Rodri goal in the second half.

Acerbi had swapped shirts with Haaland after the Istanbul Final, but this time, the Manchester City striker refused to give his jersey to the Nerazzurri defender.

The Inter star posted pictures from last night’s game on his official Instagram account and commented: ‘I asked Haaland for his shirt, but he didn’t give it to me. Just joking!’

Inter’s next competitive match is against Milan in Serie A on Sunday, September 22.

Their next Champions League match is against Crvena Zvezda at San Siro on October 1, 2024.
