If you weren’t watching the K League on Friday, why not? You missed a Lee Dong-gook special.
We’ve been starved of football over the last two months but South Korea’s top flight got underway and it was dramatic.
A cagey affair on the whole, a late winner was scored by an ex-Premier League man as reigning champions Jeonbuk saw off Suwon.
The smart glancing header was scored by none other than Lee Dong-gook, who is 41, has now netted in 12 consecutive K League seasons, and made 23 Premier League appearances (without scoring) for Middlesbrough from 2006-08.
Legend.
