After loan spell with Hull City, former Standard Liege striker announces himself to Utrecht fans in dramatic fashion | OneFootball

When NAC Breda and Utrecht saw the 4th official announce three minutes of added time, not many would have expected the drama that was about to unfold. The home side were 1-0 up, with Boyd Lucassen opening the scoring in the 37th minute. They remained in the lead until the 91st minute. By the 96th minute, they had lost.

The catalyst for this turnaround was Utrecht’s summer signing Noah Ohio. Utrecht brought Ohio in from Standard Liege in the summer after he had spent the second half of the 2023/2024 season on loan in England with Hull City. At half-time in the game against Breda, Ohio had replaced David Min. He grabbed the equaliser just after the added time was announced. It looked like the striker had rescued a point for the club, but after the hosts saw Lars Mol sent off, suddenly they had a chance to win it.

It took a well crafted goal for the side to open the NAC defence. Fine work down the right saw Miguel Rodriguez have enough time to fire a cross to the back stick for Ohio to tap home. In eight games for Hull last season Ohio scored three times. Hopefully these two goals in such dramatic fashion will be the kickstart of a successful season with his new club.

After three games, Utrecht are unbeaten with two wins and one draw. NAC Breda have one win from their three games.
