There were a lot of expectations hanging over the head of Hassane Bandé since his €9.5m move from KV Mechelen.
After scoring 12 goals in 27 games in Belgium, the Burkina Faso international joined Ajax for pre-season but broke his leg and ruptured his ankle ligament and has yet to make a first-team appearance for the club.
Now, the 21-year-old winger will get his chance to impress while making his recovery. On Monday, Ajax announced they have sent Bandé to Swiss outfit FC Thun on an 18-month loan.
So far, Bandé has made four brief appearances off the bench for Jong Ajax and will look to impress for the Swiss Super League’s last-placed side.
