Ajax have confirmed the signing of Dinamo Zagreb defender Josip Šutalo.
The Croatia international joins the Eredivisie giants in an initial deal worth a reported €20.5m with a further €3m in potential add-ons.
Šutalo has penned a five-year contract with Maurice Steijn’s side after emerging as their preferred candidate to replace Jurriën Timber.
The 23-year-old was a member of Croatia’s World Cup squad and make a tournament debut in their third place play-off with Morocco in December.
At Dinamo, Šutalo won three domestic titles in four seasons following his rise through the club’s academy ranks.
