Al Nassr will pay €2m William Carvalho clause | OneFootball

Saudi Arabian 1st division side Al Nassr are going to conclude the arrival of 31-year-old defensive midfielder and Portuguese international William Carvalho, according to Foot Mercato.

Cristiano Ronaldo is going to be joined by a compatriot of his in his Saudi adventure as Al-Nassr confirmed to well-placed sources last night that they will be activating Carvalho’s €2m release clause.

No firm details yet on the salary package that Carvalho will secure by making the move, although it is expected to be considerably more annually than the cost of the initial transfer fee – talks are ongoing but as of today a total agreement is close. Al Nassr then intend to target a number of Ligue 1 players, according to the report, once they have successfully concluded a deal for Carvalho.

Negotiations to sign Hakim Ziyech from Chelsea also continue to progress.

Carvalho joined Betis in 2018 from Sporting CP.
