Everton are flying under David Moyes at the moment.
The Toffees are unbeaten in their last five Premier League games, winning four of them, and as a result, they moved up to 14th in the table, ahead of Manchester United.
After managing a 2-2 draw against Liverpool, many pundits felt that Everton could struggle against Crystal Palace away at Selhurst Park.
Goals from Beto and Carlos Alcaraz secured an important 2-1 win over Palace. Alan Shearer was heavily impressed by Alcaraz, who joined in the January transfer window on loan from Flamengo.
The popular pundit has kept the 22-year-old attacker in his team of the week.
Shearer wrote: “Produced the perfect assist for Beto and showed superb composure to score Everton’s winner.”
At one point, under Sean Dyche, Everton looked like they could get relegated. They were badly struggling towards the bottom of the table.
How quickly things have changed under Moyes, who has been a breath of fresh air for the club. He did a terrific job in his first spell at the Toffees. In his second spell, he joined the club at the turn of the tide, with Everton dreaming of a brighter future under the new ownership.
Everton will face Man Utd, Brentford, Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Ham in their next four games, and they should be aiming to win all these matches, given the kind of form they are in.
It would be a terrific achievement for Moyes if he could guide Everton to a top-half finish. Alcaraz looks like a cracking talent, and Moyes will hope that the Argentine will add more goals to his tally in the coming matches.
