Roma attacker Alexis Saelemaekers was back on the pitch after over two months of absence due to injury.

The Belgian winger was seen coming on the pitch in the second half in last night’s 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspurs.

After the match, Saelemaekers spoke to Roma TV.

“We are very happy because we showed another image of Roma and what we wanted to do from the beginning of the season,” he said, “even if things didn’t go the way we wanted, but today we are regaining a good level and we will work to continue like this in the future.”

“Before the game, Ranieri said that we are a strong group and that today we had to prove it on the pitch, giving everything until the end.”

“He told us to give it our all, which is what we did,” he added.

“What we did, even if it was 2-1 for them for large swaths of the match, is we fought until the end.”

“We were good and today. This is an important result for us.”
