Juventus have sent Massimiliano Allegri their just cause for dismissal and he’s planning to appeal to a labour court, so what’s next on the horizon as the feud between the two parties grows?

The 56-year-old Italian coach was officially dismissed by the Bianconeri on May 17th, less than 48 hours after guiding the team to victory in the Coppa Italia final against Atalanta. His behaviour during and after that match was cited as the reason for the move.

Allegri was left furious on the touchline during the Coppa Italia final and his rage only grew after he was sent off; he stormed down the tunnel, verbally attacked Tuttosport editor-in-chief Guido Vaciago and damaged a LaPresse photo area. During the celebrations, he came to blows with the club’s directors.

Pages eight and nine of today’s Tuttosport detail how Allegri will appeal against Juventus’ just cause for dismissal to a labour court and judge, wanting compensation for reputational damages as a result of the club’s move.

The two parties could reach a private agreement before this stage, allowing them to bury the incident and move on rather than drag things out in a legal battle. For now, emotions are running high and both sides have been left infuriated by the situation.
