The National Women's Soccer League continues to go from strength to strength in the United States, with talented players occupying all corners of the top-flight competition.
One such talent is 20-year-old Los Angeles native Alyssa Thompson.

Starring for her hometown club, Angel City FC, the United States Women's international forward produced a moment of sheer quality yesterday during a 2-1 win over visiting Seattle Reign.
After being put into space by a weighted ball from Kennedy Fuller, a quick feint by Thompson created enough space for her to dispatch a curling effort into the top corner beyond Reign shot-stopper Claudia Dickey.
With quality like that on display, it's no wonder that the young striker was once the most expensive player in NWSL history.
