Brazilian forward Antony has told Manchester United he wants out, and the club are keen to push through a loan deal, with Fenerbahce in pole position to sign him, according to the Sun.

The transfer window in Turkey is open until this Friday, and while any permanent departure is unlikely to happen until next summer, the former Ajax star is pushing for a loan move.

Antony may have played his last game for Man United, having played just a minute of football this term.

The 24-year-old came off the bench in the 90th minute to replace Amad Diallo in the 2-1 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion on matchday two of the season.

Ajax are monitoring his situation, while clubs in Spain, France and Saudi Arabia are also keen on securing his services.

Antony is the fifth highest-paid player at Man United after signing a five-year deal worth £200,000 per week when he joined the Red Devils from Ajax for £85.5 million two years ago.

He bagged one league goal in 29 appearances last term, which has seen him fall behind Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho and Amad Diallo in the pecking order.

Antony has not played international football since last year and will need to be playing regularly at club level if he is to add to his 16 caps with Brazil.

Leaving Man United could be the only way out for him if he is serious about reviving his career.

The winger would link up with former Man United manager Jose Mourinho if he joins the Turkish Super Lig club. Ex-United midfielder Fred is also with the club.

Antony could face the Red Devils next month as Fenerbahce host them in the Europa League group phase on October 24.
