Arsenal have added goalkeeping back-up with the acquisition of Alex Rúnarsson from Dijon.
The Gunners had been on the lookout for a new face between the posts to add competition for Bernd Leno after Emiliano Martínez’s move to Aston Villa.
And they’ve gotten their man with the 25-year-old signing on a four-year deal in north London.
“We want to create healthy competition for places and we look forward to seeing Alex bring further depth to the goalkeeping position,” coach Mikel Arteta told the club’s official website.
Rúnarsson has won five caps for Iceland since making his debut in 2017.
He will wear the No. 13 jersey at the Emirates Stadium.
