In a recent report, TuttoJuve mentioned that Arsenal are showing interest in Al-Hilal midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. It is understood that the Gunners are eyeing a move to bring the Serbian playmaker to England this year.

Milinkovic-Savic’s Decent Numbers In Saudi Arabia

Milinkovic-Savic has enjoyed a decent campaign in Saudi Arabia as he has put in a run of impressive displays for Al-Hilal at the centre of the park. The Serbian talent has found the back of the net on nine occasions and grabbed five assists in 22 matches for his current employers this season across all fronts.

The 28-year-old has been a positive influence at both ends of the field. He is a tidy passer of the ball as well. Hence, it makes sense for Arsenal to try and get him on board before the end of this January transfer window.

Milinkovic-Savic is under contract at the Saudi club until the summer of 2026. Hence, it won’t be easy for the Gunners to snap him up on the cheap this winter.

Is Milinkovic-Savic A Good Option For Arsenal Boss Mikel Arteta?

Milinkovic-Savic is a tough-tackling midfielder who can make some important interceptions for his team at the centre of the park. He can shoot the ball with venom from long range and has got the eye to play a few decisive passes in the final third. However, there are some concerns over whether he can cope with the high intensity of Premier League football if Arsenal manage to sign him soon.

The Serbian sensation mainly functions as a box-to-box midfielder but can also serve as a defensive midfielder or play in the number ten position if asked to do so by his manager. We can expect Milinkovic-Savic to add more quality and depth to Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta‘s midfield department.
