Arsenal forward Leandro Trossard is considering leaving the club and signing a lucrative contract in Saudi Arabia, a report has claimed.
Al Ittihad made an offer of around £25m to sign Trossard last summer, but Arsenal stood firm and refused to do business over the Belgium international, who has struck ten goals and eight assists across all competitions this season.
Trossard is approaching the final 12 months of his contract and the Daily Mail state Arsenal have opened talks over an extension, but convincing Trossard to snub another approach from the Middle East could prove challenging.
As he nears his 31st birthday, Trossard is said to feel as though he has one final opportunity to sign a sizeable contract and believes the time is right to entertain interest from Saudi Arabia.
While Arsenal do want to keep Trossard, they would not stand in the winger's way if he does decide to search for a new club.
The Gunners are known to be keen on signing a new left-sided forward anyway. Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli are the only options as it stands and there is an acceptance that reinforcements were needed even before Trossard's future came into question.
Athletic Club's Nico Williams is the dream signing but his significant wage demands - potentially around the £400,000-a-week mark - mean a deal for the Spain international is far from simple.
AC Milan's Rafael Leao and Borussia Dortmund's Jamie Gittens are thought to be under consideration, although Arsenal face rival interest from Chelsea, with the Blues also known to be looking at the same targets.
