WSL Full-Time were informed of the deal via an official club press release from The Gunners this evening.
The 31-year-old Canadian international forward joined Arsenal last summer off the back of a four-year spell with Portuguese club Benfica. Lacasse went on to make 28 appearances for Arsenal in all competitions while she scored five goals.
Lacasse’s greatest contribution in an Arsenal shirt arguably came in last season’s FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup. The player featured in six matches, helping The Gunners to retain the trophy with a 1-0 extra-time victory over Chelsea in the final. Lacasse started the showpiece tie at Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Molineux Stadium.
While Lacasse struggled for regular starts in the Barclays Women’s Super League, the forward was often a useful option from the bench and she never let Arsenal head coach Jonas Eidevall down.
Lacasse has tested herself in four different countries in her senior career so far and she will now add the United States to her list with new club Utah Royals.
The forward is the fifth first team player to leave Arsenal this summer.
