WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Gunners this morning.
Zinsberger joined Arsenal from German club Bayern Munich in 2019 and she has gone on to secure the North Londoners’ first-choice goalkeeping jersey. The Austrian international goalkeeper has made 72 appearances for the club in the Barclays Women’s Super League. Zinsberger was a FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup winner with the club last season. The player is believed to be very happy in North London and she has therefore opted to extend her stay with Arsenal.
After signing her new deal with The Gunners, Zinsberger said “I’m so happy to have signed a new contract with this club. I’m so motivated to continue to develop myself as a goalkeeper but also grow as a person – and with the progression that’s taken place here on and off the pitch since I joined, I know this is the right place for me to do that.
“When I step out onto the pitch, hearing the crowd cheering us on, it’s a feeling I can’t describe. The passion our supporters bring lifts us up and together we can go so far.”
Arsenal and Zinsberger are next in action on Saturday when Everton are the visitors to Meadow Park.
