Arsenal are set to be handed a huge boost with Bukayo Saka set to return after the international break.
Saka has not featured in the Premier League since sustaining a hamstring injury in the win at Crystal Palace on December 21st last year. The England winger’s issue required surgery and he has been recovering across the last three months.
Saka has stepped up his training with the main group and hinted on social media that he could be in line for a return when the Premier League resumes next week.
The 23-year-old posted an image of himself in Arsenal training with the caption: ‘Hello again’.
Arsenal resume their Premier League campaign at home to Fulham on Tuesday April 1st. The Gunners are currently second in the table, 12 points behind leaders Liverpool.
Saka’s imminent return is welcome news ahead of a crucial Champions League showdown with Real Madrid. The North Londoners take on the European champions at the Emirates in the first leg on April 8th, before the return in Spain eight days later.
Saka has nine goals and 11 assists from 24 appearances across all competitions this season. His 10 assists in the Premier League are the joint-second highest total in the division, despite the winger having not featured this calendar year.
