Arsenal legend Thierry Henry honoured at GQ's Paris event | OneFootball

Arsenal's legendary striker Thierry Henry was the latest to be added to GQ's hall of fame after being celebrated at France's Men of the Year award.

While Cole Palmer and Kobbie Mainoo impressed on the red carpet on Tuesday at GQ's London event, Henry has now been given his his stripes after an illustrious playing career. The Frenchman scored 228 goals during his eight year spell with the Gunners, etching his legacy as one of the greatest players to ever grace north London.

Henry delivered countless beautiful moments for Arsenal fans, winning two Premier League titles before his eventual departure in 2007.

His latest achievement, however, comes after leading his country to the 2024 Olympic final.

Pulling up to GQ's event in a stunning Gucci suit, Henry stole the attention from any nearby cameras with his sleek grey outfit and Loro Piana suede shoes.

During Wednesday's ceremony Henry gave an uplifting speech, "On the pitch, I had a certain confidence that hid a lot of doubts. In a world like football, where it is taboo to say that you are not well, I often lied to myself.

"If I had been asked before what a good leader was, I would have talked about a guy who is never in pain and who is a leader.

"Today, I would say: 'Be vulnerable and show a lot of empathy.' Without empathy, people don't open up. When I was younger, I didn't understand that being vulnerable is a strength."
