Paris Saint-Germain are closely monitoring Hugo Ekitike’s potential move to Eintracht Frankfurt, as they hold a 20 percent sell-on clause and stand to gain financially if the transfer goes through.

Newcastle have shown interest in Ekitike as a possible replacement for Alexander Isak. The club had pursued him while he was at PSG, and according to CaughtOffside, another Premier League team is also in the running for the 22-year-old forward.

Manchester United have also been linked with Ekitike. As Football Insider reported, United are in competition with Newcastle and several top European clubs, having kept a close eye on his performances at Eintracht Frankfurt this season while seeking a new No. 9 for the summer.

Is Hugo Ektike not ready for Premier League switch?

Former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Petit has shared his thoughts on why he believes top Premier League clubs like Arsenal and Liverpool should approach their interest in Ekitike with caution.

“Honestly, I’ve seen him playing for Paris Saint-Germain,” Petit said (h/t TEAMtalk). “He was a little bit too young to play for a huge club like Paris Saint-Germain.

“Now he’s having a good time in Germany with Eintracht Frankfurt. I think it’s probably too soon for him to come to a top, top club like Arsenal or Liverpool. I’m not sure if he’s ready to be the main man at a club chasing a Premier League title.”

Anfield Watch recently reported that Liverpool has started talks with Ekitike, but they’re not alone in the chase—Arsenal and Manchester United are also showing interest.

According to a recent report from CaughtOffside, Manchester United are keeping a close eye on Hugo Ekitike as they look to bolster their attacking options. Eintracht Frankfurt have reportedly put an €80 million price tag on the French striker, with Arsenal also considering a potential move.
