Raphinha scored from the penalty spot in either half for the hosts. Andreas Pereira and Luis Henrique increased Brazil’s advantage coming off the bench.

Arsenal star Gabriel Magalhaes had another solid performance in defence. He had 81 touches with a pass completion rate of 95 percent. He won 100% of his tackles with three recoveries.

The 26-year-old is currently in the best phase of his career and could become an undisputed starter for his country after producing two quality performances this month.

Magalhaes has often played second fiddle to Eder Militao, but the latter’s withdrawal due to an apparent injury has proved a blessing in disguise for the Gunners centre-back.

The former Lille man is expected to return to London in the next 24 hours to prepare for Saturday’s late Premier League kick-off at Bournemouth.

Arsenal are third in the league table behind Manchester City on goals scored. They are just one point behind Liverpool, who host Chelsea on Sunday.

The Gunners have a good chance to climb to the top of the standings, but it won’t be easy as the Cherries are tricky opponents on their own patch.
