Arsenal handed double injury blow for crucial Premier League match
Arsenal attempt to end Ruben Amorim’s unbeaten start to life as Man United boss as the two rivals meet in a huge Premier League clash at the Emirates Stadium tonight. Amorim has won two and drawn one of his three matches since taking charge, but this is by far his toughest test to date.
The Gunners have won three games on the bounce in a much-needed run of form, one inspired by Martin Odegaard’s return to fitness. Mikel Arteta’s side, though, are still nine points off the pace set by Liverpool and know they are already approaching they point where more dropped points could leave them too much to do in the title race. Gabriel and Riccardo Calafiori both miss out with injury, as Jakub Kiwior and Oleksandr Zinchenko start.
Victory in north London would take United to within three points of Arsenal, despite what has been a stumbling campaign so far. Amorim is without Kobbie Mainoo and Lisandro Martinez, while he has also dropped Marcus Rashford. Mason Mount and Tyrell Malacia make rare starts.
