Paris Saint-Germain have been keeping a close eye on Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich for months and nearly brought him in last summer. Now, they’re making another attempt to land him, but one club is determined to win the transfer battle.
Journalist Christian Falk recently reported that PSG’s interest in Kimmich remains strong, as his contract situation at Bayern is still unresolved. The Ligue 1 side targeted him last summer, but Kimmich opted against the move.
Now, their interest is back, but Inter Milan and Liverpool are also involved. Meanwhile, Bayern and Kimmich are continuing talks, with a contract extension still on the table.

According to Mick Brown, the former chief scout for Manchester United and Blackburn, Arsenal are “working hard” to persuade Bayern Munich star to make the move to the Emirates, as he remains one of their top targets.
“Kimmich has played at a high level over a long period,” Brown told Football Insider. “He’s very highly-rated around Europe. He reminds me a lot of Phillip Lahm in that everybody speaks about him as a top-class character and leader as well as his talent.”
“I think he could play for any team in the world. He doesn’t rely on doing anything special, he just gives you top performances every week.
“Arsenal have been working hard behind the scenes to reach an agreement with him. They’ve been speaking to his representatives to gauge what it would take to agree a deal. Now, they’ll be trying to convince him to join them rather than going elsewhere or staying at Bayern.
“Kimmich would bring a lot of experience to this Arsenal team and I think that’s what Mikel Arteta will be looking at – he’s won all there is to win. Plus, he’s versatile and can do a job in a few positions, which is always a strength for any player. If they can pull it off, I think that would be a very good deal for Arsenal.”
On Monday, TEAMtalk reported that Inter Milan are emerging as a strong contender to sign Kimmich, who is entering the final months of his contract.
The report also states that while Inter haven’t made an official offer yet, they are in discussions about presenting a tempting four-year deal. If this comes to fruition, Inter would be a serious threat to land him.
Inter are reportedly ready to offer Kimmich around €6 million (£4.95 million, $6.2 million) per year—roughly £95,000 a week—similar to what Hakan Calhanoglu currently earns, though Calhanoglu is expected to leave the club this summer.
