In a recent exclusive story from journalist Graeme Bailey, it was revealed that Aston Villa are among the clubs hoping to recruit Copenhagen starlet Roony Bardghji. It is understood that the Villans are facing competition from Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United in the race to land the Swedish wide player.
Bardghji has come through the youth ranks of Copenhagen and has done well to establish himself as an important member of their first XI. The 18-year-old has already made 72 senior appearances for his current employers thus far, scoring 15 times and grabbing one assist in multiple competitions.
The talented winger has caught the eye with his performances in Europe this season as he is averaging 1.3 shots and 1.7 dribbles per game in the UEFA Champions League. He has also been accurate with his ball distribution after making 87.5% of his attempted passes in European football (stats via whoscored).
His current contract at the Danish club will expire at the end of 2025 which could open the door for the Villans to land him on a cut-price deal in the summer.

Bardghji is a good dribbler with the ball and can make some driving runs with the ball out on the flanks. He can got the intelligence to create a yard of space for himself to get a few strikes in at goal.
The gifted teenager can even shoot the ball with power from long range. He is naturally a right-sided wide player and would bring more competition to Leon Bailey at Aston Villa if Unai Emery can devise a way to bring him on board in the summer.
Bardghji is already good enough to serve as an important presence in Emery’s squad. However, at 18, he is still quite inexperienced and would need time to adjust to life in English football. Still, there is no denying that Bardghji is a prospect to watch out for in the future. Therefore, the Villans should consider going all out to win the race for his services when the transfer window commences in the summer.
