Aston Villa punched their ticket to the Champions League quarter-final without breaking a sweat after swatting aside Club Brugge 3-0 in Birmingham.
Unai Emery’s side put one foot in the last eight when they clinched a commanding 3-1 win in the first leg in Belgium.
They finished the job on home turf as a second-half brace from super-sub Marco Asensio on either side of an Ian Maatsen goal sent Emery’s side through.
The victory sets up a reunion for Emery, who is set to face his former employers Paris Saint-Germain in the quarter-final.
Emiliano Martinez (6/10) – Kept a clean sheet without breaking a sweat as Brugge offered little on the attacking front.
Matty Cash (6/10) – A relatively quiet evening for the Polish right back, although his physicality was evident, winning three out of six ground duels.
Ezri Konsa (7/10) – Did well alongside Tyrone Mings at the heart of the Villa backline, although he barely had much to do defensively.
Tyrone Mings (7/10) – Another strong performance from the Englishman who got 66 minutes of action under his belt.
Ian Maatsen (8/10) – Villa’s bright spark. Showed plenty of attacking endeavour and deserved to get on the score sheet. He was also solid in defence.
Boubacar Kamara (5/10) – Was hardly involved and somewhat easy to get past, winning just one of his four ground duels.
Youri Tielemans (8/10) – Dictated proceedings from the middle of the park. Created one big chance and was unlucky not to cap off an excellent display with an assist.
Morgan Rogers (6/10) – A Jekyll and Hyde display from the Englishman. Sparked into life in the second half and set up Villa’s second goal.
John McGinn (6/10) – An assured performance from the captain. Helped Emery’s side establish a foothold in the middle of the park and was strong in tackles.
Marcus Rashford (7/10) – Was a live wire on the left flank. Switched gears in the second half and was rewarded for his attacking endeavours with an assist.
Ollie Watkins (4/10) – His woeful attempt to catch the Brugge keeper off-guard from the halfway line was his only highlight in a subdued display. His injury will give Emery plenty of headaches.
Marco Asensio (9/10) – Produced a man-of-the-match performance despite starting the game on the bench. Scored an 11-minute brace after replacing the injured Watkins at half time.
Would be kicking himself for squandering a big chance to make it a hat-trick.
Leon Bailey (7/10) – He was lively after coming on in the second half and spurred Villa to victory with a deft assist for Asensio’s opener.
Jacob Ramsey (5/10)
