WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Villans this afternoon.
D’Angelo joins Aston Villa after leaving former club Arsenal earlier this summer. The Canadian international stopper has signed a two-year deal at Villa Park.
The 31-year-old spent 18 months with Arsenal after joining the club from Swedish side Vittsjö GIK in January 2023. The player largely provided goalkeeping cover during her time in North London but she was able to make 15 appearances for The Gunners in all competitions.
The keeper needs more regular game time and she will now be pushing for the number one jersey with new club Aston Villa.
After adding D’Angelo to the Aston Villa squad, the club’s Head of Women’s Football, Lee Billiard said “We are excited to bring Sabrina to Aston Villa Football Club. She is an experienced goalkeeper that will help drive standards and create great competition within the goalkeeping unit. With her history of winning at both domestic and international level, we believe Sabrina is a perfect fit for helping us move forward.”
D’Angelo becomes Aston Villa’s fifth signing of the summer transfer window.
