Aston Villa to rival Rangers and Lazio for Marítimo midfielder | OneFootball

Aston Villa, Rangers and Lazio are all interested in signing Josip Vuković this summer.

Steven Gerrard is reportedly a keen admirer of Vuković and the midfielder – who plays for Portuguese side Marítimo – has been linked with a move to Rangers since February.

On Wednesday, Italian outlet Calciomercato claimed Villa and Lazio are also ready to join the race for the 26-year-old’s signature.

The Croatian has already played for a whopping seven clubs in his short career so far, and is valued at between €900k and €1m.

All three clubs will likely be in the market for a new central midfielder in the summer, but it remains to be seen whether Vuković will prefer Serie A, the Scottish Premiership or whatever division Villa might be in next season.

According to Sport Witness, Chelsea, Wolves, Villarreal, Benfica and Sporting have also been linked with the player in recent weeks.
