Atalanta have Marco Carnesecchi back for the Champions League play-off with Club Brugge, but are missing several key players and lose another to flu.
The first leg kicks off at the Jan Breydelstadion in Bruges on Wednesday at 17.45 GMT.
La Dea have been dealing with multiple injury problems recently and the situation was only made worse by a flu bug sweeping through the squad.
It had ruled goalkeeper Carnesecchi out of a couple of games, but he is now back in the squad and should be fit enough to start rather than Rui Patricio.
The concern is that the virus has now spread to Matteo Ruggeri, who is left behind in Bergamo.

Also out of action are Ademola Lookman, Daniel Maldini, Sead Kolasinac, Gianluca Scamacca, Giorgio Scalvini and Odilon Kossounou.
It is a special game for Charles De Ketelaere, who came up through the Club Brugge academy before his transfer to Milan.
