Atalanta want at least €60 million to sell Inter Milan linked defender Giorgio Scalvini next summer transfer window.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInter1908.
Inter are starting to think about the future of their backline.
At the moment, the Nerazzurri have two starting options in the centre of the back three. These are Francesco Acerbi and Stefan de Vrij.
That duo will be 37 and 33 respectively next month, however.
Moreover, Acerbi in particular has really started to show signs of physical decline. The former Lazio and Sassuolo defender has struggled with a nagging thigh problem this season.
It is no secret that Atalanta defender Giorgio Scalvini is on Inter’s radar.
The 21-year-old perfectly fits the profile of player the Nerazzurri want to build their project around – a young Italian international.
Scalvini has only recently returned from a serious knee injury.
However, there is a sense that he is getting back to his best. Therefore, Sky reports, Inter are very much eyeing him up as a potential long-term heir to Acerbi and de Vrij.
However, reports Sky, Atalanta won’t let Scalvini go for cheap.
La Dea want a fee of at least €60 million for the young defender, the broadcaster anticipate.
