Atletico cancel Danna Paola’s half-time concert after learning she is a Real Madrid fan | OneFootball

In an attempt to further blaze up the upcoming Madrid derby between Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid, Los Colchoneros had planned a half-time concert of Danna Paola.

Danna Paola is a well-known Mexican singer. She was expected to host a concert at Civitas Metropolitano, as part of the Madrid derby offering at the stadium.

Atletico cancels Danna concert

However, in a surprising turn of events, Atletico Madrid appear to have cancelled Danna’s concert on the grounds of her being a Real Madrid, reports SPORT.

Indeed, Danna Paola has recently admitted that she is a Real Madrid fan in a podcast with David Broncano.

During the interaction, Danna admitted she had a boyfriend who was a big Real Madrid fan and she was one too. She even dared to sing the Real Madrid anthem in front of Broncano, an Atletico Madrid fan.

When Broncano asked why she was singing the anthem, Danna replied, “Because I’m a Real Madrid fan!” She went on to predict a 2-1 win for Los Blancos in the derby this weekend.

Danna’s admission, coupled with her prediction did not go well with Atletico Madrid, who have since cancelled her concert at Civitas Metropolitano.

This might not go well with a lot of fans, who were hopeful of half-time action from Danna Paola. It would have been interesting to see if Real Madrid had offered Danna the concert in the return fixture at Santiago Bernabeu.

But unfortunately, concerts at the Bernabeu have been halted for the time being due to complaints by local residential bodies.
