The brass at La Liga giants Atlético Madrid have set their sights on a member of the attacking ranks at Juventus as a potential summer signing.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, citing Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport, who point towards Dušan Vlahović as the player in question.

Atlético Madrid could well be forced to dip into the market for fresh blood up top with a view to next season.

This comes with the futures of both Antoine Griezmann and Ángel Correa considered as being up in the air.

And amid their combing of the market for potential replacements, the name of the aforementioned Vlahović has returned to the fore at the Metropolitano.

Frontman Vlahović is expected to be on the move this summer, ahead of the expiration of his Juventus contract in 12 months’ time.

And Atléti, after previously expressing an interest in the Serbian’s signing during his time with Fiorentina, are ready to pounce in the case of space opening up in Diego Simeone’s frontline.
