During the match, fans displayed a banner criticizing Rabiot and targeting his mother. Despite the tense atmosphere, PSG secured a 3-1 victory. The banner read: “Loyalty is for men, betrayal is for ****** – like mother, like son.”

Veronique Rabiot has since spoken to Radio France and announced plans to file a formal complaint over the incident.

Recently, Barcelona defender Jules Kounde called for “firm” action against PSG fans who displayed an insulting banner during the match against Marseille targeted Rabiot and his mother.

Moreover, Kounde isn’t alone in his stance. Journalist Carine Galli stated that PSG are responsible for the situation because they allowed the banner to enter their stadium.

“Just because you’re not the one who created the banner doesn’t mean it’s not serious. Since you allow this banner to enter the stadium—and every stadium in France—you are responsible. PSG was well aware of the vile messages that would be directed at Adrien Rabiot’s family,” added Carine Galli.
