FC Barcelona have been facing a drastic situation for the last few weeks. They have been unable to get their duo of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor registered with La Liga and will now be looking to approach another court of law to achieve this objective.

Meanwhile, there has also been a piece of good news for the Catalans, as they were finally able to return to the 1:1 status following the finalization of the sale of their VIP boxes.

According to SPORT, Barcelona President Joan Laporta wants to take advantage of this new change in status to achieve another important task for the club, i.e., renewing Pedri’s contract till 2030 and getting this new contract registered with La Liga.

The Blaugranes are seeing this renewal as a strategic objective and negotiations between the two parties are already well advanced. Things have reached such a point that an agreement is practically reached and the next big news in this regard is expected with Deco’s return from holidays.

The report further claims that the Catalans are planning to finalize and announce €100m-rated midfielder’s renewal in January, while work is also being done on the renewals of Gavi and Ronald Araújo. Negotiations for the former’s renewal are going quite smoothly while those for the latter are currently suspended.

This season, Pedri has been an undroppable piece in the midfield, and his contributions have been immense. He also seems to have gotten over his physical problems and thus Barcelona are looking to address his renewal with the highest priority.

However, the most urgent task for the Catalans still remains the registration of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor, which is essential for the club for its image, and sporting needs, and to keep the dressing room calm. The fate of these two players is expected to be cleared by the next week.
