Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick was today drawn on the red card shown to Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham on Saturday.

Midfielder Bellingham was for his part of course involved in a headline-grabbing moment during Real Madrid’s La Liga meeting with Osasuna.

En route to a disappointing 1-1 draw for Los Blancos, the England international was given his marching orders late in the first-half.

This came owing to a verbal exchange with referee Jose Munuera.

Munuera’s post-match report revealed that as much came as a result of Bellingham saying ‘f**k you’ in his direction.

The TV cameras at El Sadar, though, appear to suggest that the 21-year-old actually said ‘f**k off’, a phrase which Bellingham is adamant was not intended as an insult.

But the aforementioned Hansi Flick is of the opinion that it matters little which was said, with both phrases coming across as ‘disrespectful’.

Speaking during a press conference on Sunday, Barcelona’s headmaster explained:

“Jude Bellingham’s red card? I think whether ‘f**k you’ or ‘f**k off’ is disrespectful, but it’s not my business, it’s not my concern. You should not waste energy saying certain things when the referee has already made the decision.”
