Barcelona-bound Allen Obando hospitalised with ‘severe pneumonia’ | OneFootball

A concerning story surrounding the health of Barcelona target Allen Obando has come to the fore this week.

For those not aware, the name of youngster Obando has taken its place front and centre in Catalunya’s capital over the course of the last week.

This comes after the Ecuadorian’s agents were spotted at Barcelona’s training base, to discuss Obando linking up with the Blaugrana with a view to next season.

According to Jijantes, the 17-year-old went as far as to undergo a medical at the Ciutat Esportiva, with his signing, as a result, having been labelled as close.

Those of a Barca persuasion, in turn, will no doubt be concerned to hear of a worrying update on Obando’s wellbeing this week being confirmed.

As per a report from Diario Sport, the talented attacker has been hospitalised for several days now.

This comes with Obando having come down with a case of ‘severe pneumonia’.

The starlet has been ruled out of Barcelona de Guayaquil’s upcoming Copa Libertadores meeting with Cobersal, not yet in a fit condition to be discharged from medical care.
