La Liga giants Barcelona have on Tuesday confirmed the extent of the injury suffered by midfield starlet Marc Casadó.
The name of youngster Casadó of course took its place front and centre in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital on Monday.
This came after word was forthcoming that the 21-year-old had been forced to pull out of international duty with Spain, owing to a knee injury suffered against Atlético Madrid.
Initial reports pointed towards as much as potentially being set to keep Casadó sidelined until next season.
All of a Barcelona persuasion will therefore no doubt be interested to hear of an update on the midfielder’s wellbeing this afternoon surfacing online.
The info comes courtesy of the Blaugrana themselves, who, in an official statement across social media, announced:
‘This morning, additional tests were performed on first-team player Marc Casadó, confirming a partial tear of the lateral collateral ligament in his right knee. He will undergo conservative treatment and is expected to be out for approximately two months.’
