FC Barcelona have been credited with a serious interest in Manchester United superstar Marcus Rashford, who has been frozen out of the team and appears set for the exit doors.

Reports had suggested that the Blaugrana might not be a viable destination for the England attacker due to the finances involved.

However, there appears to be a way that Barça can make the deal happen if the latest reports are to be believed.

Ansu Fati to be offered in deal for Rashford?

Indeed, as per reports from TEAMTALK, the Barcelona hierarchy holds a serious interest in Marcus Rashford and are prepared to offer Ansu Fati as part of a deal to bring the Manchester United forward to Catalonia.

It is further suggested that the Blaugrana manager Hansi Flick has given his ‘OK’ to the operation.

The German tactician views Rashford as a versatile player who can add more effectiveness to the Catalan giants’ frontline, and with him giving the green light, sporting director Deco is believed to have begun working on the deal.

Fati plays in the same position as Rashford but has failed to make much of an impression this season with injuries and lack of productivity when fit hampering him.

Manchester United, for their part, might not be on board with the operation as they see Rashford as a more valuable player than Fati, whom they held an interest in the past but no longer see him as a viable target.

As such, these reports should be taken with a pinch of salt, especially with more reliable sources in Spain suggesting that Barcelona are unlikely to make any major moves in January.
