After having travelled to the United States for their traditional pre-season tour in the past summers, Barcelona will be flying to Asia this year to kickstart their preparations for the 2025/26 season.
For the first time in several years, the Blaugrana will travel to the East for pre-season which will be central to their plans to hit the ground running next campaign.
Now, according to MARCA, Barcelona’s tour of Asia will include three matches – one in Japan and two in South Korea – scheduled to take place between 21 July and 4 August.
The first match will be played in Japan before the squad travels to South Korea for the remaining two fixtures.
All key players are expected to take part, as there will be no international commitments for most of the squad during this period. The team will return to Barcelona following the final match.

In financial terms, the tour will be lucrative for the club. Barcelona are set to earn a minimum of €15 million from the three matches, with the potential for additional revenue depending on variables such as broadcast rights and commercial income generated from the events.
This will mark Barcelona’s return to Asia after several years of holding pre-season tours in the United States.
Recent summers have featured high-profile friendlies against top European clubs, including multiple encounters with Real Madrid. This time around, though, there will be no pre-season El Clasico.
As for Barcelona’s pre-season opponents, there is still no official confirmation but one of the teams they are likely to face in South Korea are FC Seoul, led by former Manchester United star Jesse Lingard.
