However, not every update in regards to injuries is necessarily a negative one. While the updates regarding Pedri, one of the brightest stars for both Barcelona and Spain, have been far from positive given that he has a Grade 2 internal lateral sprain in his left knee, other players may be shaping up to make a return soon.

Fortunately for FC Barcelona, that is precisely the case with another one of Barça’s most promising youngsters. According to journalist Achraf Ben Ayad, 19-year-old Gavi is recovering at a more than impressive rate and the player may not have too much time left before he resumes group training.

To be precise, the report states that the player is now only two months away from returning for FC Barcelona. This would mean that the youngster could be back in September for the Catalan giants, which would consequently mean that he would not have missed too much action for Hansi Flick’s side after the beginning of the official 2024/2025 campaign.

While Pedri’s latest update is sure to make those involved with Barcelona less than happy, the news about Gavi should make them excited. Many reports previously suggested that it would be difficult to see the player return before November, and some even questioned if he would be able to take part in the entirety of the first half of the campaign.

However, Gavi has clearly been working hard and it shows in his physical improvements. The player has been relentless in ensuring that he recovers at his best possible level and does not let this injury stop him from returning to action soon.

He was originally injured back in November of 2023, when he suffered an ACL injury while on international duty. Now, almost a year later, the player is getting closer and closer to marking his return to the field for FC Barcelona, and he will be greeted by a new face leading the ranks of the Catalan club.
