The injury came at a particularly unfortunate moment for Fati, who was determined to prove his worth to new coach Hansi Flick and secure his place in the squad.

However, the Spaniard has since recovered quite fast and is gearing up for his return to the pitch.

Barcelona set high expectations from Fati

Fati has made significant progress in his recovery and recently returned to the training ground, participating in intense exercises, including small-sided matches.

Hansi Flick had earlier expressed confidence in Fati’s potential contribution to the team and maintains great faith in the forward.

“In these first few days, Ansu was incredible. He was very fit and showed it in training. It’s a shame we didn’t have him in the United States, but we are working to help him come back stronger,” Flick said.

Sporting Director Deco, too, echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the value Fati brings to the squad.
