The powers that be at La Liga giants Barcelona are ready to ramp up their efforts to land a leading summer transfer target.

That’s according to Alex Pintanel of Relevo, who points towards Nico Williams as the player in question.

Wide-man Nico, for his part, is fresh off another dazzling display on the international front.

Afforded a start in Spain’s Euro 2024 Last-16 showdown with Georgia, the 21-year-old absolutely lit up La Roja’s left flank, notching a goal and an assist en route to an eventual 4-1 triumph.

And, safe to say, as much did not go at all unnoticed amongst those behind the scenes at the aforementioned Barcelona.

Attacker Nico has of course been hotly tipped to make the move to Catalunya’s capital this summer.

Amid their ongoing search for reinforcements on the left flank, the Athletic Club talent has been identified as one of several potential arrivals.

And, if the latest word stemming from the media on Sunday night is anything to go by, his latest performance may well have proven the final proof needed to force Barcelona into an immediate bid.
