Following no major signings in January, Barcelona are gearing up for a crucial summer ahead.

Recent reports indicate that Barcelona are already poised to sign Jonathan Tah on a free transfer. The German international is set to become the club’s first major signing of the 2025/26 campaign.

However, in order to accommodate Tah into the squad, Barcelona might require some fresh sales and that is where Andreas Christensen comes into the fray.

Barcelona ready to listen to offers

A recent report from Mundo Deportivo has offered a fresh update on the future of Christensen.

As per the report, it appears Barcelona are ready to listen to offers for the 28-year-old Danish centre-back, who was close to leaving the club in the January transfer window.

Christensen is currently on a considerable salary package and his departure could Barcelona ease their balance sheets.

Not to mention, the Dane’s sale would represent a profit for the club considering the fact that he had joined the club on a free transfer.

Even from a sporting perspective, Christensen’s departure could free up some much-needed space in Barcelona’s defensive unit, thus allowing Jonathan Tah to occupy a role in the team.

There shouldn’t be any shortage of suitors for Christensen either, considering his talent and pedigree at the highest level of football.

Saudi Arabia has been notably linked with a move for the Danish international in recent times, while a stay in Europe cannot be ruled out either.

But one thing appears to be certain – Barcelona will look to offload the defender in the coming summer, as they look to prevent a scenario where the player leaves for free in the summer of 2026.
