Two members of the attacking ranks at Barcelona have this afternoon provided their respective takes on the draw afforded to their side in the Champions League.
Barca, of course, discovered their fate on the continent on Friday morning.
After sending Napoli packing in the competition’s Round-of-16 earlier this week, Xavi’s troops have been rewarded with a showdown with French champions Paris Saint-Germain for a spot in the Champions League’s semi-finals.
The tie, whilst on paper not the worst which Barcelona could have been handed, marks a tricky one.
PSG impressed en route to ousting Real Sociedad from Europe earlier this month, and boast both the explosive on-pitch talents of one of world football’s best in Kylian Mbappé, and the crafty veteran presence of a former Blaugrana head coach on the sidelines, in Luis Enrique.
Speaking to the media on Friday, the subject of the challenge posed by the Ligue 1 heavyweights was in turn put to Barca pair Vitor Roque, and Raphinha.
During respective interviews with ESPN Brasil, though, the attacking duo seemed relatively unphased.
First, wide-man Raphinha explained:
“There are eight teams who are the favourites. We knew any draw was going to be difficult and PSG is no different. However we know what we can give to win.”
And this was followed by attacking partner-in-crime Roque adding:
“PSG? It’s going to be a tough game, but whoever wants to be champions can’t choose the teams they want. We need to work hard, play well and progress.”
