Leading members of the first-team ranks at each of La Liga’s top three clubs have been afforded respective places in the Champions League Team of the Week.
This of course comes following the Round-of-16 2nd-leg fixtures in European football’s premiere club competition over the course of the last two nights.
Barcelona were first up on Tuesday, welcoming Portuguese heavyweights Benfica to Catalunya’s capital.
And owing to his Man of the Match performance en route to a 3-1 Blaugrana triumph, Pedri has been rewarded with a spot in the Team of the Week.
24 hours on, it was then the turn of capital rivals Real and Atlético Madrid to vie it out for a spot in the Champions League’s final eight.
When all was said and done, it was the former who marched on, courtesy of a penalty shootout victory.
And Raúl Asencio’s standout exploits at the heart of Los Blancos’ defence have seen the Spaniard, too, afforded a place in the TOTW.
Despite his side’s eventual defeat, meanwhile, Atlético’s Rodrigo De Paul joins Pedri and Asencio in rounding out the La Liga representation in the XI:
