The brass at La Liga giants Barcelona have made clear their unhappiness with the proposed date for their rescheduled clash with Osasuna.

Barca’s planned league meeting with Osasuna earlier this month was of course postponed at the last minute.

This came after the sudden death of Blaugrana team doctor Carles Miñarro Garcia, mere hours before the fixture was due to take place.

Those in a position of power in Spanish football, in turn, have been tasked with finding a suitable date for the matchup to be played out.

This is far from a straightforward assignment, owing chiefly to the hectic schedule facing Barcelona at present.

La Liga and the RFEF recently proposed one potential date to the clubs, in the form of March 27th. Joan Laporta and the Camp Nou brass, however, have ‘refused’ to give their blessing to as much.

As per a report from COPE:

‘According to Helena Condis, Barça does not want to play this match on March 27. The biggest problem is that this match would be played after the international break, and Hansi Flick would be without Raphinha and Ronald Araújo, who are leaving for Brazil and Uruguay, respectively.’
