Youngster Fermín was for his part absent from Barcelona’s squad which kicked the new season into gear on Saturday night.

Amid an extended vacation following his exploits with Spain at both Euro 2024 and the Olympics, the 21-year-old, in turn, watched on from home as his teammates got the better of Valencia.

Fermín moved to show his support for the Blaugrana during the Mestalla matchup, taking to his official Instagram account to unveil a photo of his viewing setup, accompanied by the caption ‘Let’s go team!’

A short time later, however, the same post was deleted.

And, on Sunday, an explanation as to why has been forthcoming online.

As confirmed by a number of sources, Fermín was making use of an illegal streaming service to watch Barcelona’s meeting with Valencia.

Upon learning that he had made as much public, amid the ongoing crackdown on streaming services, the midfielder in turn quickly removed the post at hand from his Instagram.
